Symphony No. 27 in G major, K. 199 (1773)W.A. Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 27 in G major, K. 199 (1773) is a bright, elegant early symphony written when he was only 17 years old. It follows the Italian-style three-movement pattern (fast–slow–fast) and is characterized by its graceful melodies, light orchestration, and youthful energy. The first movement is lively and cheerful, the central Andantino grazioso is gentle and lyrical, and the final Presto ends the work with sparkling vitality and rhythmic drive. Overall, the symphony showcases Mozart’s growing mastery of form, balance, and melodic charm.

Carmen (Selections) – G. Bizet
The Prelude, Nocturne, and Danse Bohème are orchestral pieces by Georges Bizet derived from his opera Carmen. The Prelude serves as the opera’s energetic opening, introducing themes associated with drama and excitement. The Nocturne, from Carmen Suite No. 2, is a lyrical and expressive movement featuring a calm, romantic atmosphere. Danse Bohème (Gypsy Dance), also from Carmen Suite No. 2, is lively and spirited, characterized by vibrant rhythms and Spanish-inspired dance elements. Together, these pieces showcase Bizet’s gift for memorable melodies, colorful orchestration, and dramatic expression.
